Visiting Denver, all the food stops were random Yelp selections... El Cazo was a great choice. We made it into the cocina during happy hour and enjoyed a few margaritas, chips, and salsa. For the entrées we had a chicken quesadilla and a chicken burrito. The food came quickly and the staff were pleasant and welcoming.
Great HH spot. Very busy even around 5pm so obviously pretty popular. Loved the rellenitos & street tacos. Great HH portions are lower prices but still delicious. I really liked the green chile dipping sauce that came w the rellenitos. Would def recommend. The dinner menu looks really good too-lots of options for every taste. Margs good too, had the regular not the HH, a little heavy on the syrup but otherwise good. Service was great too.
The food & drinks here are amazing!! Went here for a girls night. Ended up ordering the guac/queso/salsa trio to start. Delicious! We each got some flavored margs too - they have a lot of different options! I'd go for a mango if I were you :) We wanted more queso, so told the waitress as much. It was brought out very quickly, which we appreciated. Everything was delicious & we each got a 2nd round of margs. Our server was friendly, but was a bit prickly when it came to splitting the bill. The manager ended up giving us each a El Cazo token to return for a free drink at some point! I'll definitely be back! This place is the bomb.
Love this little hidden treasure in LoHi!! Went for the Happy Hour... Full win on the Street tacos and house margarita! BUT -- They put beans on their street tacos so be sure to order without them if you don't like that, I'm definitely not used to it. But the Carnitas were fire!! And the service is great!! The vibe is chill, good people watching if you sit at the window. The music is great, Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Lucho Dee Jay, Camilo etc!
Great spot for hanging out with drinks and great happy hour deals. My favorite taco is definitely the carne asada (also tried carnita and Al pastor). The sauce was very thick, so I would recommend squeezing in a lot of lime juice for a lighter lift and freshness The chicken slider was good too Would come back for carne asada tacos during happy hours
